Orico Aluminum 6818US3 USB 3.0 Hard Drive Dock

Orico's 6818 Series SuperSpeed USB 3.0 to SATA 6G adapters is designed to support all 3.5-inch and 2.5-inch SATA drives up to any capacity (4TB+). For use with high-speed SATA 6Gb/s devices including SSD, HDD, and Hybrids. Utilizing Super Speed USB's maximum theoretical speeds of up to 5Gbps, the adapter easily accommodates the full bandwidth of SATA 3 GB/s, and roughly four fifths of the full bandwidth of SATA 6 GB/s. The Super Speed USB to SATA 6G adapters is backwards compatible with SATA devices previous to SATA 6Gb/s. The Super Speed USB 3.0 to SATA 6G adapters comes with an external AC adapter that provides up to 2.5 amps of power for either 3.5" or 2.5" hard drives. The adapter is backward compatible with USB 2.0, but recommended for use with Super Speed USB 3.0 in order to achieve optimal transfer rates. The 6818 Series adapter provides a versatile means for accessing data on SATA storage devices without having to place those devices in an external case or install in a computer.
